Hello crafty friends! Today I’d like to share with you a mixed media layout I created using products from the brand new Field Notes collection by American Crafts and Vicki Boutin.
I’m really loving all the elements that are included in this collection but as with every collection, florals are my absolute favorite pieces. For this layout I decided to use floral designs and cluster them around my photo using premade embellishments along with a few mixed media touches.
For my background I used one of Vicki’s new stencils and applied color using her crayons and stencil brushes. I also added some stamping and splatters for a slightly messy look but without overdoing it.
I tried to add small amounts of “messy” elements to keep the overall design simple and clean but also fun and playful.
