Altenew November 2018 Stamp/Die/Ink/Sticker Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello crafty friends! Today we are celebrating a brand new release of gorgeous stamps and dies by Altenew as well as some brand new ink colors and sticker rolls.

Make sure to read all the way through for all the giveaway details and of course visit the Altenew Card Blog.

For this blog hop I created a few different cards with my favorite products of the release.

In this card I used one of the Friendly Cats stickers and surrounded it with some colorful confetti from the Kind Confetti Stamp Set.

For my next card I used the gorgeous Antique Engravings Cover Die and “colored” the openings of the design using Nuvo Drops in various colors. I finished the design with a sentiment from the Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set.

Last but not least I created a set of cards with the same design, in different colors. For these cards I used the stunning Handpicked Bouquet Stamp Set (my absolute favorite from this release) and sentiments from the same set as well as from the Engraved Flowers Stamp Set.

Oh boy... my favorite item and one I'd like to own would be the Leaf Medallion stamp AND die set. So many options with that. I'd make some masculine cards. But also love trying to do some metallic embossing as I saw in some designer posts!

I love your cards - so pretty and fresh. As for the new release, I am loving the dandelion set. It would make great cards of any variety - get well, good wishes, just notes.... but I think it would also make a fun base for picture mats, or a background for embroidered wildflowers, or fabric crafts, or decorating wood or domino tiles for jewelry pieces too.

I love your cards, and am loving this new release! As for a favorite, I'm drawn to the dandelion and the wild fern stamp sets. I can't wait to get them, as it will give me a lot of options for more masculine cards too. Thank you for sharing and inspiring.

Zinia you've used one of my three favourite items from this release. The Antique Engravings Cover Die is like, WOW! Honestly, I'm kind of intimidated at the thought of using it, but I've seen some wonderful ideas on this blog hop. I'd first run it through on white card stock for an imprint of white on white which I think would give an understated elegant look. Then I'd like to use an embossing powder to heat set the outside design of it & perhaps use watercolours on the floral parts. Or I'd like to see it used on black or navy cardstock & coloured with white pencil crayon, & then different colours over top of the white. So many thoughts, thanks to this hop. Your floral cards are lovely. Thanks!

As always wonderful designs Zinia! It is hard to pick a favorite from the release, but the Handpicked Bouquet is calling my name, I can see it stamped on the bottom edge of a T-shirt and hand embroidered or stamped on a mug cozy! Thanks for the inspiration!

Hard to choose but the Hand Picked Bouquet is amazing, no one does florals as good as Altenew and then the leaf medallion stamp and die is also amazing.

Such lovely cards!! That's a difficult choice. I'm not sure if I'd select the Leaf Medallion set and die or the Antique Engravings cover die. I have seen so many fabulous creations with those items. I would enjoy giving these techniques a try.

I love the leaf burst stencil, so I'm really excited about the leaf burst stamps, but I think that my favorite might be the Engraved Flowers, just because I love all those pretty line details. I love the look of it embossed in white, especially on vellum, so I would probably make a card like that. Thanks for sharing all your fabulous ideas!

It is definitely hard to choose just one stamp set. I love all of the florals, but I'd have to say the Dandelion stamp set would be nice to have. It is so unique and I don't have anything like that. I would use it as a comfort or get well card. Your cards are so pretty- love how you inked the background in the last cards.
