If you want to add some stylish unique products to your craft supply collection then keep reading! This month Altenew released a fantastic collection of stamps, dies, stencils, and embossing folders. The collection is inspired by retro and vintage images but they are translated into products with a very refreshing and modern twist.

The products I designed are mostly focused on pattern building. It’s a process I absolutely adore and basically turns any product into a source of endless designs. I used a variety of pattern combinations and colors in my projects so you can get as many ideas as possible but these are just the tip of the iceberg. If you get these products, make sure to experiment on your own to create even more unique combinations.

Ink Blending on 3D Embossing Folders

This is a super easy technique with eye-catching results. All you need to do is run a white card panel through your die-cutting machine with the embossing folder of your choice. Then pick a fun ink combination and do some ink blending. The ink sticks stronger on the raised areas of the design highlighting it beautifully.

Double-up Patterns

The left card has the flower image inked twice while the right card has the leaves image inked twice to make the patterns denser.

If you want a more subtle effect, just cut the panel in half and create two cards!
