Altenew Build-A-Flower: Anemone Coronaria Blog Hop + Giveaway

by Zinia Redo

Hello crafty friends! Today we are celebrating the release of a brand new Build-A-Flowe stamp set by Altenew, Anemone Coronaria. This is definitely one of my favorite Build-A-Flower sets since it has such a fun whimsical look to it.

Make sure to read all the way through for all the giveaway details and of course visit the Altenew Card Blog and the Altenew Scrapbook Blog.

So for my layout, I decided to play around with some pinks, purples and yellows. I stamped the flowers a couple of times and I added the additional layering images in different color combinations.

Although I love the leaf images that come in this stamp set, I needed something longer for my design. So I pulled out a couple of other Altenew leaf dies and cut some pieces out of vellum.

Before I started building my floral cluster on my layout, I did some ink blending on the background and added a few white splatters for additional texture.

I really like your choice of leaves to add to these flowers; even though they’re not the official pairing, they really go nicely. In the future, I would like to see some columbines, because those are a really distinctively shaped flower that I think would be a fun, different look (and probably a challenge to the designers, but I think they’re up to it).
