Hello everyone, it’s Zinia here and today I’m joining the Altenew dynamic die-cutting blog hop!
Make sure to read all the way through for all the giveaway details and of course visit the Altenew Card Blog.
The card I created for this blog hop is using some of my favorite Altenew dies in fun and creative ways.
I used a leaf canopy die to create openings in my cards base and mounted it on a piece of a cardstock that I previously colored with various inks.
To complete the card, I used a couple of thin frames from the fine frames circles die and added a sentiment using the simply hello die.

One of my favorite die techniques is water coloring a background and cutting letters out of it or using it as a background with an image popped up. Endless possibilities – I loved your card.

Beautiful card: creative use of die cuts and lovely colored background. My favorite die cutting technique is to cut a second piece out of gray to peek out like a shadow.
Beautiful card Zinia – I made a card using a similar concept recently. I do use dies for dry embossing and inlay- still new to the craft and learning new techniques by doing these blog hops. Thanks for the inspiration
Such a pretty card.
Beautiful card and I love the color. So pretty and fresh. Great job!
So pretty! The colors and cut out area make a really fun design. I like building up layers with my dies and have also used the Fine Frames to draw the eye to focal points. Still have to figure out how to keep the thin frames from distorting, but I love how they look on my cards.
I don’t own a die cutting machine but dies look awesome as embellishments or even backgrounds! Or titles…
What a beautiful card ! I love the fact that you have used the negative of the die to create your focal.Fabulous idea and execution !.Thanks for sharing !
Cool technique. I like the thin circle frames.
My favorite die-cut technique is to die cut floral and leaf shapes from watercolored cardstock and use them on cards.
What a lovely design, fantastic CAS card, thanks for the inspiration!
I love your CAS card! All of the contrasting colors look stunning.
Lovely card! Thank you for sharing!
Love this card. It is gorgeous! I love die cutting and am always looking for new ways to use my dies. One of my favourite techniques is inlaid die cutting.
I LOVE the way you did this card… Your colors through the die cut leaves is just beautiful. I use die cutting all the time… I love making chipboard style sentiments by layering multiple word die cuts together. And I love die cuts for cover panels, but I only own a couple like that.
Your card is great! I love so many die cutting techniques, but I guess making fun card shapes (or mini journals, photo albums, etc) would have to be my favorite. Course only certain dies work for that.
I love your choice of colors.
Fabulous card! Love all the die cuts and colors.
Wow! This is so beautiful! Love the colors and the simple design! <3
I am new to card making, so I’m still figuring out die cutting techniques, but I love your card. The watercolor choices are beautiful!
Such a lovely card!
Lovely card great colors
A beautiful Hello to find in your mail box! Lovely hues of blue.
Love this card and how you used the circle frames. My favorite die cutting technique is making an alcohol ink background and cutting from that.
I love how you incorporated your beautiful background into a card just by using die cuts. The result is a gorgeous card.
Awesome colors on your beautiful card!
I love how some of your leaves are going off the card.
That’s a fun technique that I don’t use as much as
I should. The card is beautiful. the colors are

Stunning card. I love the style and the background is gorgeous.
It is hard to pick a favorite die cutting technique, but I would have to say that I enjoy cutting out background dies. They add such interest to a card, especially if you do a tone on tone look. 🙂 Your card is beautiful!
This is amazing!! I LOVE how you used those circles!!
love those leaves in all the greens and blues – wonderful card, Zinia!
Beautiful card! My favorite die cutting technique would have to be die cutting on Washi tape!
I love to make alcohol ink backgrounds and die cut words or shapes and then use the remaining with white cardstock. They are so versatile!! I love your background!! It’s gorgeous!!
Very pretty and I like how you used this die and the background. I like the in laid technique when I die cut.
Beautiful, inspiring card. Thanks for sharing!
Some of my most favourite Altenew products are my layering dies. I love the Fantasy floral dies and the Rose flurries and the Peony Dream flowers that these dies make. Thanks for the fantastic inspiration!
I love the dry embossing with your dies because it gives you double duty.
My favorite die cutting technique is to use larger size dies (or cover dies with a lot of openings) over some kind of cool looking paper (watercolored, ink smooshed, splattered, alcohol inks, marbled, and/or patterned paper). Then add whatever sentiment is appropriate for the occasion. I try to keep a variety of backgrounds around all the time so I can make a quick and easy card when I need one. (mardy14@bellsouth.net)
