Altenew Dynamic Die Cutting Blog Hop + Giveaway

by Zinia Redo

Hello everyone, it’s Zinia here and today I’m joining the Altenew dynamic die-cutting blog hop!

Make sure to read all the way through for all the giveaway details and of course visit the Altenew Card Blog.

The card I created for this blog hop is using some of my favorite Altenew dies in fun and creative ways.

I used a leaf canopy die to create openings in my cards base and mounted it on a piece of a cardstock that I previously colored with various inks.

To complete the card, I used a couple of thin frames from the fine frames circles die and added a sentiment using the simply hello die.

Giveaways

Now if all that looks very exciting and you want to get your hands on some of these amazing products, I have a $20 gift certificate to give away to one lucky winner. All you have to do is leave a comment on this blog post telling me which is your favorite die-cutting technique.

The giveaway winner will be announced here on 11/01/2018.

One of my favorite die techniques is water coloring a background and cutting letters out of it or using it as a background with an image popped up. Endless possibilities – I loved your card.

So pretty! The colors and cut out area make a really fun design. I like building up layers with my dies and have also used the Fine Frames to draw the eye to focal points. Still have to figure out how to keep the thin frames from distorting, but I love how they look on my cards.

I LOVE the way you did this card… Your colors through the die cut leaves is just beautiful. I use die cutting all the time… I love making chipboard style sentiments by layering multiple word die cuts together. And I love die cuts for cover panels, but I only own a couple like that.

Your card is great! I love so many die cutting techniques, but I guess making fun card shapes (or mini journals, photo albums, etc) would have to be my favorite. Course only certain dies work for that.

My favorite die cutting technique is to use larger size dies (or cover dies with a lot of openings) over some kind of cool looking paper (watercolored, ink smooshed, splattered, alcohol inks, marbled, and/or patterned paper). Then add whatever sentiment is appropriate for the occasion. I try to keep a variety of backgrounds around all the time so I can make a quick and easy card when I need one. (mardy14@bellsouth.net)
